The night shadow tableau (motionless figures representing a scene from a story) has drawn the interest of an onlooker outside the windows. People-watching or crowd watching can be done subconsciously and often are used to try to interpret the other's interactions and relationships. For some it can be a hobby, but mostly it is a subconscious activity without even realizing it, like at the park or in a bus. Whether the onlooker is related to the scene or drawn in by chance is open for the viewer to decide on. It can also be left to the creative imagination to choose the past and the future activities from this frozen present moment.
