About this work

“Who is churning our minds?” This visual memory goes back to my childhood when my grandmother asked me to spin the butter churner. After spending lots of time on this action, the cream of the crop (milk) eventually turned into butter. On a psychological basis it points how we sometimes allow the words or deeds of others to churn over and over in our minds until it solidifies as a new ‘product’. However, it is not factual and only appears as ‘truth’ in our mind-house but not based on solid ground. It is of much more importance to make sure we focus on where the root of the mind-tree goes into the earth to get its major source of healthy nutrition.
